About a year back when I was in Mumbai and get a chance to travel through the ‘Meru-Cabs’, where in I find this ‘Self Discipline Instructions’ or we can say it a ‘safe driving habits guidelines’ with the Driver.
These guidelines were available in a well laminated pamphlet inside the taxi.
I found it a very positive initiative (as I do not know how many other agencies or anyone other is also following this practice) on the part of the Travel Agency and hence noted these instructions.
They are good enough for all general public too, as it brings a sense of discipline, ownership, and also promotes good manners and etiquettes.
I am Happy to share this and hope we as an responsible individuals can also get this and put inside our vehicle to make us feel cheerful and attentive all the time and these ‘self discipline principles’ will keep acting as a gentle reminder for self controlling our behavior too.
1) I WILL DRIVE CAREFULLY.
2) I WILL NOT DRINK AND DRIVE..
3) I WILL DRIVE WITHIN SPEED LIMITS…
4) I WILL BE ALERT AT ALL TIMES….
5) I WILL KEEP MY CAR CLEAN AND TIDY …..
6) I WILL BE WELL GROOMED ……
7) I WILL NOT SMOKE AND CHEW PAN /GUTKHA INSIDE MY CAR
The last point is regarding the hire charges, which I have given below;
1) I WILL CHARGE THE CUSTOMER AS PER METER
Instead we can include – ‘I will be Honest and Integrated’…!!!
