मैं पतंग बन जाऊँ… 2…

I get to travel a lot due to my postings at various places, which give me a chance to know of the ‘diverse’ culture and traditions of our country.

I realized how rightly it is said ‘Unity in Diversity’.

This poem was a result of the thoughts that came to my mind during such long journeys, by train of course, I took time to time.

When this poem was posted (on 12.02.2011), there were some more thoughts that I had gathered, but this remains to be edited and so were not posted at that time.

Recently when this poem reached 1000 views on our Gujarati Blog nai-aash.in . I thought it would be more appropriate that I share the balance part of this poem to acknowledge the love and affection given to me by the readers and well wishers of these blogs; (Meanwhile the post has reached more than 2000 views on nai-aash.in)

(And with sincere apology to my friend Ashish, whom I had promised that the part-II would be there soon, but due to a more than hectic schedule at work front, I could not send it to him in time. Ashish, today here it is!!)

मैं कितने नगर घुमा और कितनी राहों से गुजरा
जी करता है मैं पतंग बन जाऊं
और दूर दूर तक घूम आऊँ

मैं भारत के हर गाँव कों जी लूं
वहाँ के जीवन में बस जाऊं
रेल कि पटरियों के किनारे से
गुज़रती है जो पगडण्डी
उस राह पर नीम का पेड बनकर
छाया करूँ और लहराऊँ

कभी खुले आसमान के नीचे रात गुजारूं
‘बंजारा’ बन कर,
भेड-बकरियों-ऊंटों कि बातें सुनूं
इस निर्मल धरा में घुल-मिल जाऊं
और महक उठूँ हवा के झोंकों के साथ

मैं हर छोटी छोटी खुशियों में बस जाऊं ,
टूटे हुए ख़्वाबों कों जोड़ कर
‘हौंसलों’ में नया जोश भर दूं
प्रेम और सद्भाव का सन्देश पहुंचे हर इंसान तक
यही लक्ष्य लेकर तैर जाऊं मैं जीवन सागर,

जी करता हैं कभी मैं
स्तंभ बन जाऊं अनुशासन का और
जब मंदिरों में मचती हैं भगदड़
वहाँ लोगों कि जानें बचाऊँ,
भीड़ में कुचले जानेवाले
हर इंसान कि मैं ढाल बन जाऊं!
समझते हैं लोग अगर पंछियों कि भाषा
मैं कबूतर बन जाऊं
अमन और चैन का सन्देश फैलाऊं!

(मुझे कच्छ में आये हुए अभी दस साल पुरे होने जा रहे हैं. कच्छ कि धरती, कच्छ के लोग और कच्छ के जन-जीवन से मेरा बहुत लगाव रहा हैं, निम्न पंक्तियाँ इसी कों समर्पित हैं..)

काला डुंगर से निगरानी करूँ मैं
सरहद के इस छोर कि
और जकड लूं मैं दुश्मन के पैरों कों
कच्छ का सफ़ेद रण बन कर,
कोट-लखपत से ललकारूं मैं
गर दुश्मन करें हिमाकत कोई
मैं हर फौजी का साथ दूं
मैं हर दुश्मन कों मात दूं
मैं सरहद पर छा जाऊं
मैं भारत-भारत बन जाऊं
मैं हिंद-हिंद बन जाऊं
